Student paper competition

The committee of international conference "Technology cooperation and economic benefit of reduction of GHG emissions in Indonesia" held on 1-2 November 2010 in Hamburg-Germany announces the Student Paper Competition for international students, mainly for German and Indonesian students worldwide. Topics are related with the climate change issue:

  • Development of renewable energy (wind energy, biogas, geothermal, etc.)
  • Carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology
  • Concentrated solar power (CSP) technology
  • Increasing the energy efficiency in industry and household
  • Smart solution in forestry sector
  • Management of municipal solid waste
  • New idea for clean development mechanism (CDM) project and carbon trading

One prize is awarded to the paper judged to be the best:

  • Maximum number of authors for each paper is 3 persons
  • The submitted paper can be a review paper, a study case paper, and a reserach paper. However, the study case and the research paper will have an advantage point
  • The submitted paper should be an original one and never been published anywhere
  • The prize will be announced and awarded during the conference
  • The certificate for the prize winner will be directly signed by HE Mr. Ir. Rachmat Witoelar (Special envoy of Indonesian president for climate change negotiation, former Indonesian minister of environment)
  • The prize is also accompanied by a 300 Euros honorarium
  • No deadline for abstract submission
  • Deadline for submission of full paper: 30th September 2010

This competition is available for undergraduate (Bachelor), graduate (Master), and PhD students. Selected papers will be officially published in the conference CD.
